Beach Time!

With the three day weekend, we headed to the beach at Half Moon Bay on President's Day.  The kiddos love their time on the sand.  Emma threw herself in the water and waves while Hoku loved every minute off leash.  He followed the girls everywhere and even played in the water.  We totally need to do this more often!

Shave Ice Dance

Both girls are super psyched about shave ice and we did have it every day while we were in Hawaii.  This was the first year Lani was allowed to have it and she hasn't been the same since.

With the three day weekend, we took Emma and Lani to the city by Bart.  Not only were they fascinated by the train but they loved being in the city.  After lunch at Westfield Mall food court, we went to the Children's Creativity Museum.

Hawaii Part III - Family Time

We attended the family gathering on Saturday night and brunch with Aunty Kathy and cousin Aaron at Orchids, Halekulani Hotel.  How the girls have changed in just one year!

Hawaii Part II - Lani Birthday Party

We celebrated Lani's birthday by going back to Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin and a strawberry cake from kulu kulu.  Everyone had a grand time =)

Hawaii 2016

To celebrate Lani's 2nd birthday this year, we decided to take a family trip to Hawaii instead of hosting a big party.  We stayed at the same VRBO in Waikiki as last year and had a blast! This time Lani loved the beach, ocean and of course, shaved ice!  

We went to the beach every day, the pool some days, and ate our way around the island.  And of course, finding the best shaved ice place.  

Roger taught Emma how to stay on the paddle surf board and surfed on a big blow up turtle.  Lani on the other hand just wanted to jump off the board.
