Family Trip 2015 - Pacific Grove and Monterey

Mom had the brilliant idea of going on a family trip down to Monterey/Pacific Grove.  She rented a fabulous house right next to the beach.  Roger and I packed up the car (we took everything except for the kitchen sink!), the gals and Hoku.  We left on Friday morning and came back on Monday.  

Over the 4-day trip, we explored the aquarium, built sand castles at Carmel Beach, and even saw some whales from our rental home window.  We even got to stop off at the Monterey Plaza & Spa to showed the girls where we got married 9 years ago.  Quite a memorable moment!

Racheal and Mark stopped by for the day on Sunday and took Emma on her second trip to the aquarium.  She had a blast!!  We stopped by the Perry House where the happy couple are thinking about getting married - it's a fabulous venue!  We can't wait for the wedding next October.  Then we celebrated their engagement at a fisherman's wharf restaurant.

All the meals were delicious especially the one Papa cooked at home for us.  =)

The Pinkies

Emma started her first soccer season in the San Carlos AYSO.  I have to say that they are way organized, with 20+ teams and 1500 kids.  Roger isone of the three coaches on her team (6 total members!).  The girls decided on 'The Pinkies' as their team name.  I learned about Soccerama (a season kickoff gathering) and that it's hard to be a team photographer when I have a toddler attached to the hip.  Here's to a great season!
